Presentation highlights the City of North Bay's use of Value Engineering to improve the design and cost of a water treatment plant. The VE study team determined that there were missing components in the design that needed to be included in the cost estimate, created buy-in for the design and sense of ownership. The study concludes that there were challenges getting buy-in from the designer but that the VE study process was worthwhile.
